Who we are
The site is the tester.
Spiked Adrenaline is a Montana-based backcountry field-testing outfit. Gear gets tested on real hunts and real backpacking miles — not on a porch, and not from a press release.
We're anonymous by design. In hunting culture, protecting spots — and identities — is respected, not suspicious. You won't find names, faces, or trailheads here. You'll find nights out, load weights, temperature swings, and honest calls on what held up and what failed.
How we test
- Real miles. Every review states nights out, conditions, and load.
- Failures included. What broke and what annoyed us goes in the review. That's the trust engine.
- Who it's for — and who it's not for. Every verdict says both, explicitly.
- Willing to say "skip it." No hype words unless the data earns them.
From the field
No names, no faces, no trailheads — just where the testing happens.
How this site makes money
Some links are affiliate links: buy through them and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That funds more gear and more nights out. It never changes a verdict — a review that can't say "skip it" isn't worth reading.
Reader-funded
Keep the tests coming
No sponsors. No ads. No affiliate strings — yet. Every review here is bought with our own money and tested on our own miles. If one saved you from an expensive mistake — or talked you into the right one — the tip jar keeps the next field test funded.
